Hardiman Lecture Series 2024

The Hardiman Lecture Series, named in honour of the late Mr. Justice Adrian Hardiman, returns this year with a schedule of four lectures. Each lecture will take place in the Supreme Court, with all lectures commencing at 4:15pm.

The Hon. Mr Justice Gerard Hogan has finalised the programme of lectures delivered by distinguished speakers, covering a variety of engaging topics of interest to both legal professionals and a wider audience.

The schedule is set out below:

Tuesday 11 June 4.15 pm: ‘In conversation with Orla O’Donnell and Mary Carolan: The challenges facing legal journalism today’

Thursday 13 June 4.15 pm: The Hon. Mr Justice Gerard Hogan ‘Was Oliver Wendell Holmes really a great judge?’

Tuesday 18 June 4.15 pm:  Eileen Barrington SC  ‘MD v. A Secondary School – recent developments in the law of injunctions:’

Tuesday 25 June 4.15 pm: The Hon. Ms Justice Caroline Biggs ‘Running criminal trials in the Central Criminal Court’

There is no need to book your attendance in advance. Anyone who is interested in attending can turn up on the day.
